Fics like A Complement of Shadows

Savagely mauled during the raid that annihilated the majority his squad, John Watson survived being turned only to be mutilated by a fellow soldier. Deprived of the service that had given his life meaning, John’s forced return to London is a nightmare he can’t wake up from. With the transformation from Beta human to Omega wolf burning him from the inside out and a strange emptiness taking up residence in his chest, the former army doctor isn’t sure how long he can go on. No werewolf has been an unbound Alpha Sentinel longer than Sherlock Holmes without going mad. Unfortunately even the most brilliant mind has its limits and after twenty years without the support of an Omega Guide, the world’s only Consulting Detective is reaching his. With Sherlock’s zone outs becoming worse every day and his mother’s looming retirement as leader of the London lycanthropes, his pack and his family are desperate to find a bondmate he will accept. Will a chance encounter during the full moon become the salvation of both, or will the criminal and political forces aligning against them be their destruction?
