Fics like Redefining Events: Body Concept and Bodily Relationships for Cyborgs, Werewolves, Super-soldiers, and Other Altered Bodies

A moderately in-depth analysis of the psychological effects of events which would be expected to drastically alter a person or characters relationship to their body, including factors relating to acceptance and likely effects of varying levels of body change acceptance. Written from a Cognitive Behavioral Theory viewpoint, but I’ve tried to make it as generally accessible as possible. I’ve used the MCU Avengers Phase 1 as my primary point of reference with occasional references to other fandoms and no Phase 2 spoilers. I plan to update this when/if my theory develops further, or to respond to questions from anyone who has them. EDIT: There's a YouTube video now! It covers much of the same material, but not all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ftJeQ8jRKM&t=1132s
