Fics like Mighty Morphin Mecha Rangers

After many years of extortion and accumulating his well-earned wealth in a man-made lake of gold, Seto Kaiba decides to buy a city to give more room for his ego. The city's name? Angel Groove. But Angel Groove is a heavy trouble magnet. Giant monsters appear from nowhere and assault the city at whim. Tired of having to pay collateral and repair costs after every encounter with these ridiculously powerful enemies, Kaiba goes on the initiative. How? Simple! Recruit a personal army of mecha veterans and outcasts to mold into his own personal army. But who will lead this defense force? Under Kaiba's extortion, five elite mecha pilots will join together into an unstoppable fighting force! Simon of the Dai-Gurren Brigade, Roger Smith the Negotiator, Bit Cloud the Blitz Ace, King Van Fanel of Fanelia, and Shinji Ikari, Nerv's punching bag. As the threats against this city emerge and builds, the fate of the grove of angels will rest in the hands of these rangers. Good luck.
