Fics like Unexpected Consequences of Planned Soulbonding

John Watson always thought he was an beta, a normal human, until he got shot. After being discharged by the army and sent back home, he goes about his life until he meets the world's only consulting detective. Then life takes very unexpected turns. Sherlock Holmes, on the other hand, is debating just how much he's going to curse out his brother for putting the ex-soldier in his path. (This does follow the series with the AUness happening before, during, and after series and episodes. I will not be using season 3, save for the fall explanation.)
