Fics like Perrault's Soulmark Fairy Tales
A rewrite of several fairy tales by Perrault, to make them fit into a universe/society where everyone has the name of their soulmate appear on their left wrist when they are sixteen. The fairy tales will only be slightly rewritten, I want to keep them as close to the original as possible and will only change those parts of the plot that I feel would have developed differently in a society that has to deal with soulmarks being a thing. I'll try to reflect the different interpretations society might have for what the soulmarks mean (it could be the person you are to marry, someone that changes your life or your true love etc.). Inspired by AMarguerite's wonderful soulmark AU for Austen's Pride & Prejudice: An Ever Fixed Mark. It planted the image of Col. Fitzwilliam reading Perrault's fairy tales to Elizabeth Bennet in my mind and has forced me to write this.
