Fics like Eat, My Love

It’d been five years since their marriage and the fact that they could just… share each other’s bodies was the tether that held them both to this earth. After years of getting little tastes here and there— a touch of thumbs on a beach in florida, a slam into the boards during a tough game, a head on a shoulder after sex before one of them inevitably said “I have to go”. And now they had time. They lived together. They worked together. A hand on a waist absentmindedly as a form of grounding. A stroke to the shoulder just to feel their soulmate breathing. Skin scents mixing always. Brush of fingers under the hem of a shirt to feel the flesh there like oxygen after a deep dive. Now they could touch and lean and share clothes and self soothe into each other and breathe each other in wherever they want and take and take and take and give and give and give however much they wanted whenever they wanted. A decade on living on morsels and then finally, finally getting to fucking devour. Or Shane and Ilya have to be apart for five days. The separation anxiety has left its mark ;)
