Things take a lively turn when the staff wheels up a pair of cages, each one containing a feminine figure with demonic features. Curving horns and winding tails and jagged lightning-shaped marks that shimmer beneath the blazing spotlights like a rainbow has been set ablaze. Zoey sits up in her chair suddenly, her attention rapt on the two figures on stage. “We have a double here, folks! A special pair for the price of one—two bonded demons sold as a set! Bidding starts at 100 million won.” She’s mesmerized by the pair immediately, her gaze eagerly roaming their heads of purple and pink hair, taking note of the fierce protectiveness in their eyes as they try to claw in the direction of the other’s cage. The horns and the tails are interesting, yes, but Zoey can’t take her gaze away from the way they gravitate towards each other. Needing each other like it physically hurts them to be separated. It’s utterly fascinating. Zoey crushes her cigarette in hand, the ashes crumbling to nothing as she swipes the remote off the table with a newfound sense of urgency. Want curls deep in her chest, taking root there as she watches the two caged demons. // day 4: master/slave
