Fics like to squish a spider

Peter will take any opportunity to make the Avengers notice him. So when a risky part of a mission comes up, Peter is the first to volunteer to do it— no questions asked. And when all goes south, the Avengers don’t notice him. Who’s surprised by that? ..Until they do. And they wish they did sooner. Or Peter gets to work with the Avengers, then gets trapped under a building— and the Avengers don’t realize. And they definitely didn’t realize that Spider-Man is a 15 year old high-schooler who has no business being in this line of work.
