Fics like Beyond the Horizon

When the gang take a trip to a tourist attraction beach called ‘Scalding shores’ Funny meets a shapeshifting, building inhabiting magical creature like himself. A lighthouse by the name of Calden who shifts into an orca mermaid to protect the cargo ships that use her ocean as a trade route from bandits and pirates. But as Funny and the gang get to know her— strange occurrences start to happen on the waters, and a reoccurring ship starts to make the magical houses uneasy. Will they be able to preserve this ‘more than friendship’ as they learn about their powers and the people trying to take them? Or will they have to return to their lives of solitude to keep each other safe?
