Fics like PHM: Nightmare

Grace's mumbling and twitching grows more energetic. Grace had asked Rocky not to wake him unless Rocky needed something or there was a problem with the ship; sleep could be fickle for Grace and it was better to let him sleep even if it sometimes didn't seem like he was resting. Rocky taps at the xenonite, he can hear Grace's heartbeat and breathing have increased beyond their average sleeping rates, closer to his waking rhythm. “Grace awake, question?” Rocky tries quietly. “No, no ples,” Grace murmurs while his hand clenches into a fist. “Apology,” Rocky replies, “Grace sleep.” But Grace continues louder: “No, you can' do thiss. No–” Grace's face muscles scrunch like he's in pain, and his head jerkily shakes side to side. “Grace?” Rocky asks louder, a tinge of apprehension in his notes.
