Fics like Be True With Me

Prince John doesn’t know why gold is everything he wants. He never really spend time thinking about the origins of his greed. It was easier to just except it. Except the fact that he is the bad guy and that he was going to continue robbing the poor and act like it didn’t bother him that everyone hated him. After all, he really liked acting. And nobody had to know that he would stare out the window over the forest at night, hoping for something. Prince Johns is used to the feeling of always knowing what to hope, want or need. But at night, alone in his room he just wants… something. Not gold, not power, just something. He can’t put it into words yet, but it was a heart aching, throat tightening, eyes prickling feeling that made his hands cold and mind blank. And it seemed like the forest was replicating that state he was in, so instead of sleeping he would stare at it hoping that he could at least get an idea of what it was, they both were feeling.
