Fics like almost monday

It's Monday again, and Benedict is going through the motions. He's hungover. He avoids his phone. And he tries to pass the time. Except for this Monday, when he strikes up a conversation with a captivating and mysterious stranger at the National Gallery. Benedict knows it’s Monday because the National Gallery is quiet. Quieter than it normally is, save for the straggling groups of tourists. Even more certain, he also knows it’s Monday because she’s here. Again. The first time he sees her, he hardly registers her. Only in the offhand, cerebral way all Londoners have grown to just expect the presence of someone else. She was already sitting in front of the painting he’d arrived intent on inspecting. A 19th-century countryside landscape.
