Okay, maybe he did want to chat up some pretty ladies and get drunk but that’s truly it—scout’s honor on his part! There's no reason he has to lie to himself about it anyways. Now, as he’s sitting at the bar, watching the man in the trench coat at the booth across from him, he can't help but feel like his early plans of a casual night out just crumbled to dust in front of him. Or, in other words, pre-Stanford era Dean takes a detour on the way to Sam and tries his hand at picking up Castiel for a one-night stand whom he spots at a local bar after a hunt. Instead, Dean fails horribly at getting his point across and flounders for a way to fix their increasingly awkward situation. Yet, what starts to seem like the worst night of Dean's life may quickly become the best when Cas decides he wants to stay, whether that be for the night or the rest of their lives remains to be seen.
