Fics like Freight Train Runnin’ Through the Middle of My Head

Everything was falling into place. After graduating with a BSN from Johns Hopkins and spending years working in Baltimore's emergency department, you'd built the kind of life you'd always wanted. Friends, a stable job, steadily paying off student loans, all without help from your dad. Then Sawyer called. With your brother's mental health history, it was never a debate. You needed to move back to Pittsburgh. Thankfully, a fresh start at PTMC was on the horizon, working under Dana on the day shift. You were ready to pick up the pieces, start a life in the city tainted with memories, and begin again. But, of course, the weekend before your first day, you got stood up. By a Tinder date, no less. After an hour of painfully waiting at a local dive bar and several beers, you were left helplessly stranded by Brendon Park. Enter Jack Abbot. Older, but deliciously so, he takes it upon himself to show you some of his favorite places. He's charming enough to make you forget where you are, and a whirlwind night turns into something neither of you expects. There's just one, tiny, itsy-bitsy problem. You and Jack have no idea who the other really is.
