Fics like Silver Wings: A Ghost in the Shell Story

Public Security Section 9 has been assigned to investigate an ongoing string of assassinations and catch the killer before any more VIPs end up dead. However, what starts out as a straightforward counter-terrorism job gets ever more complicated as their search for the culprit only leads them to discover evidence of the victims' own crimes. Can Motoko Kusanagi untangle the web of criminal conspiracy before it's too late, and what should her team do as the stakes only continue to escalate? Meanwhile, an immortal Tanya von Degurechaff is adrift on her own in the futuristic New Port City as she uses all of her skills obtained from over a century of experience to shed light on a plot to undermine the democratic Japanese government and destroy the freedoms she ideals.
