Fics like NEUVAYoL

Shane Hollander decides at a young age that he enjoys the role of a goalie much more than a forward. This results in him later in life getting drafted to LA, and playing 4 seasons. After years of being unable to get out of the backup goaltender position, getting drafted to play for the New York Admirals seems like a chance for him to advance in his career, and get the recognition he deserves. Problem is, the NYC Admirals already have a goalie, and a damn good one at that. Will being an Admiral keep him stuck in the role of a backup just like LA? And if it doesn't, will that mean being the one who replaces an icon? Only time will tell, and Shane only hopes it tells him something good.
