Fics like Peck a nerve

The bird opened its eyes, looking grumpy. He was not ready to get up yet. “MEEP MEEP! MEEP MEEP!” Roadrunner touched his beak. Wait, beeping? That- that wasn’t him. Looking down, he saw…another roadrunner? It was running down the road with him, and Coyote was always on. Squinting his eyes at the bird, which was nowhere near as fast as him, he realized it was female. ‘Who is this ugly woman and why is she running down mine and Coyote's road?’ Female roadrunners, or any other roadrunner, were not usually seen in this part of the desert. Wile E. Coyote was very popular here for chasing and trying to eat that one roadrunner- him, of course; all of the others ran away, finding a new place to live after seeing how far it went to catch their fastest bird. He was called the roadrunner for a reason. OR Roadrunner catches Wile E. Coyote "Cheating" on him by going after another roadrunner. Updated: Chapter 3 is up now!
