After the events of season 2, Bennet Drake goes missing yet again. As the weeks pass without sign of him, Edmund Reid begins to regret how he treated him. He begins to fear his grief might manifest in self-destruction again and he might wrest himself from the surface of the world before Reid can beg forgiveness, so... he starts looking for him. When he finds Drake, he finds all his worst fears confirmed. It's all he can do to aid him in the fight against his demons.
