Fics like The Rogue Animus: A mad superhero world on the brink…

If not us then who? Decker “Dax” Harlan wasn’t exactly the picture of stability. A reclusive nerd with tastes many would politely call “questionable,” he spent most of his time buried in explicit fantasies and lewd content starring his favorite characters. Despite a sterling record in the Marine Corps' MARSOC, his post-military life had little to show for it. After a fatal accident, he wakes up in a twisted, chaotic fusion of the DC and Marvel universes—with bits of other comic and superhero worlds thrown in for good measure. Dax does his best not to care, perfectly content to keep his head down and stay out of trouble. That plan was shattered when he stumbled upon a pod containing a very naked clone of Power Girl… Galatea. And that’s when things got messy—or maybe not as messy as he figured... What happens next could lead to utter disaster… or the most unexpected opportunity of his strange new life... Fortunately, whatever force dragged him into this world didn’t send him empty-handed. In his possession is a seemingly magical notebook. This extraordinary little item might just help him manage (or exploit) his situation… assuming it doesn’t create far bigger problems than the ones he already faces…
