Fics like The Second Alphabet

Agnes and Becka have spent their lives learning how to survive Gilead: follow the rules, bury the questions, and never name the things they aren’t supposed to want. At Ardua Hall, the discovery of women’s histories Gilead tried to erase gives them something dangerous; language. For resistance, for themselves, and eventually, for each other. As Aunt Lydia draws them deeper into Mayday and Gilead begins closing in, the distance between falling in love and committing treason becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish. OR Agnes and Becka are Aunts and they discover feminism, lesbianism, and government conspiracy in roughly that order. Oof. Note: Both women are in their 20's in this fic.
