Fics like Look To Winward

And there is a strangeness yet again, in being without the very thing that allowed the culmination of his existence. Like humans missing a limb, he supposed it can also be seen that way, with the uniqueness. What a strange way to put it. Because what was it if not him? Ever aware and abound of the life and thought he was granted—it doesn't escape him that his very nature had existed first as an abstract concept itself. Nature, ironically. And despite being the culmination of error — of distortion and strangeness, and the feeling that something isn't right that you can't quite figure out — just like a cross turned upside down, it seems as if his life, at the moment, beseeched to return to him the same amount of error he'd inflicted upon in his lifetime. Or: A rewrite of the canon where Amon, in the middle of his journey throughout the cosmos, gets dropped into the Fool's Dream through some strange circumstances. Bereft of any way out, the previous dual authority true God of Error and Door must navigate the space containing the remnants of a bygone era reconstructed and attempt to wake the dream's creator.
