Fics like Seeing Red

Sequel to Need Not Be “Still, there were nights where Peter would wake up in early mornings after a long patrol and see Wade wasn’t in bed. He would pad out into the living room. Sometimes wearing nothing but the marks Wade had left on his body, other times clad in Wade’s favorite hoodie. He would find his alpha sitting at the kitchen table with a gun, staring at the front door to their apartment. His leg bouncing with anxious energy. Peter would slowly, carefully pull the gun from Wade’s grip, check the chamber, it was always loaded and Peter would always unload it silently, laying both the gun and the ammunition on the table top before climbing into Wade’s lap and hugging him fiercely. Six years, and he was still waiting for the other shoe to drop or to wake up. Peter was understanding though, and whenever he found his alpha in such a state he would reassure him until Wade came back to him, to the here and now.” Or, Six years into being mated… the other shoe drops.
