Fics like The Koprulu Intervention

In 2163, following the horrors of the Jovian Moons Campaign and the Rainforest Wars, the United Nations Space Command was formed by the nations of Earth to combat the radical dissident movements known as the Koslovics and the Friedens. The Interplanetary War followed and saw the fledgling UNSC crush the hostile movements in a bloody seven-year war. With the signing of the Callisto Treaty in 2170, all of Humanity was finally under one, united flag: the Unified Earth Government. However, in 2169, a Frieden scientist and leader named Doctor Doran Routhe completed work on experimental wormhole technology. With the UNSC closing in, Routhe gathered his devotees on four colony ships and fled the Sol System. UEG Officials believed they had all perished. In 2553, still recovering from the aftermath of the Human-Covenant War, the UNSC discovered that the Friedens had not perished, but instead stood tall as the Confederacy of Man, the Umojan Protectorate, and the Kel-Morian Combine. Three independent Human Civilizations outside of Earth's control in violation of the Callisto Treaty, and with resources that could accelerate the UEG's recovery. The independence of the Koprulu Sector would not be permitted.
