Aziraphale is a meticulous, principled public prosecutor. He believes in the system, in justice, in doing things properly. Crowley is a defence lawyer with a flair for dramatics, bending rules just enough to win. He thrives on chaos, clever loopholes, and pushing Aziraphale’s buttons in court. They are known rivals, cutting remarks across the courtroom, perfectly timed objections, long-standing professional tension and a reputation for despising each other. But no one knows that they have a standing reservation at the same pub after court. It started years ago, one particularly brutal case, both exhausted, one drink turned into a conversation. Then it became a habit. Then a ritual. They have rules (unspoken, but ironclad): • No talking about the case once they leave court • No discussing feelings (obviously) • This is not a date But they remember each other’s drink orders, they walk each other home, they text (purely logistical, of course) and they absolutely blur every boundary imaginable.
