Fics like Breaking and entering

Work inspired by ForReasonsNotKnown's Heartmoor series, if you haven't read their work I can very much recommend it, they deserve so much love for that story. specifically I'm borrowing their AU, and playing with how a confrontation with Courtland might go, if he decides to seek out Ryland once he decides to return to society with Casey at his side. Its open begining and open ended, and also has no affiliation with any part of the Heartmoor series actual canon. * “Something wrong?” Ryland doesn’t see what he sees, but Ryland trusts him. Enough that Casey’s silent request of wait and stay is met without question. Casey feels how the beast stirs from its slumber as he walks on silent feet the 3 paces to their door. Feels its anger like a dark river as he crouches, inspecting their lock and finds minute scratches in the metal. New scratches.
