Fics like Bats! Bats! Bats!

''“I'm not certain how mimicking the bats will allow you to communicate with them, Dick. And stop touching them. You're stressing them out.” Dick pulled his hand away from the bat they had lured into their lab area, apologizing to it. “Do you know just how cool it would be for a criminal to see us talk to real bats? They'd freak out!” “My reputation already freaks them out. And I don't think we would be able to figure out how to truly communicate with them.” “But we can communicate with each other!” “What–” “We should make our own bat language! That study said they have their own dialects and languages, and we're basically our own species of bats- so we should have our own language!” Dick grinned.'' -------- While bats are known for their ability to echolocate, they also use their voices to speak to one another similarly to humans. Humans have even found that bats have separate complex languages and dialects based on their species and location! One young bat in particular was determined to find out just how bats’ language worked. And he got far more than he asked for.
