Fics like Until the Last Moment

Olivia Benson knows how to survive monsters. What she doesn’t know is how to live with what survival has cost her. A body she can no longer trust. Choices she can’t undo. Olivia is fearless, but she is no saint, and she is not made of steel. Alex Cabot never knew exactly when she began to love Olivia. Maybe she only realizes it when she looks back and sees how much she has already given, how far she has already walked beside her—and has to ask herself how much farther she can go. This is not a story about making the right choices. It is about living with the ones you made, the people they changed, and the things love cannot magically repair. Fifteen years in the making, this story carries pieces of the author’s own life within it. It goes to dark places. The villains may be more brutal than you expect, but the characters remain recognizably themselves—changing, failing, surviving, and growing as life keeps throwing them into circumstances none of them could have imagined. The world changes. People change. Lives change. The road goes on. And somewhere along the way, for better or worse stops sounding like a promise and begins to feel like the weight of a lifetime.
