Fics like you plus me equals a heart forever

For the most part, Ilya didn’t do cute nicknames for his contacts – he found it tended to confuse him, when someone called. So most people were just their names or their relationships to him – Misha Agent and Carlos Physio. Papa for his father and Dickhead Brother for Alexei and Sveta for Svetlana. Simple. Ilya liked it simple. It hadn’t really mattered, he thought, until Cliff Marleau had mentioned it as they prepared to board a plane home from Montreal. “Dude,” Marly said. “You’ve been texting this chick for fucking years and she’s just Jane in your phone? Kind of cold.” -- Ilya's contact name for Shane changes a bit, over the years. OR: Emojis in a phone contact can be a love language, if you think about it.
