Fics like Songs That Remind Me of You (Borrowed Time part two)

We continue the blossoming love story between Alan and the foreign printmaking exchange student in London. She now has a name: Vida. She is thirty-three, with two young boys back in her home country whom she shares with her ex-husband. In this part, we follow the tracklist of songs she recorded for Alan on an audio cassette as a Christmas gift while he was away filming Bob Roberts in America. Almost every song has its own dedicated chapter, with just a few exceptions. The tracklist is included at the end of the first part, but for convenience, here it is: Side A: The Cure – “Pictures of You” Roxette – “Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)” Extreme – “More Than Words” Dire Straits – “Expresso Love” Side B: Simply Red – “Stars” The La’s – “There She Goes” The Stone Roses – “I Wanna Be Adored” The Cure – “Just Like Heaven” The Sundays – “Here’s Where the Story Ends”
