Fics like Bullets and Soul (Modern US in Hollow Knight)

[Modern military in Hollow Knight] The infection, a deadly disease caused by a vengeful higher being who is desperate for a need of worshippers, causes the Kingdom of Hallownest to suffer from a near total collapse as bugs fall ill to this infectious disease. The Pale King comes up with a desperate plan to combat this illness in order to save his dying kingdom from this catastrophe. So what happens when a group of strange shelless beings with strange advanced metal contraptions and weapons come in and offer support to their plight? The results are interesting to say the least After a mysterious gate-like structure appears in the Mojave Desert near Nellis Air Force base, The United States now finds itself exploring an entire new world where magic, sapient bugs, and gods are nothing but a reality, with their mission of establishing diplomatic ties with the civilizations that inhabit it.
