Fics like The League of Extra-Ordinary Humans

A red burst streaks across the sky, backing the deeply silhouetted buildings. Boxy towers loom over the city beneath them, sleeping quietly. Behind them, Mount Royal sits, waiting for its sacrifice. Alone, a figure stands tall. Hands on his hips, he surveys the peaceful city. From the street, he is hidden. He is watching, but never seen. — A raspberry sounded out across the rooftop, indicating Thorn’s displeasure with the scene in front of him. He stepped forward and then flashed directly in front of Voyance. He flexed his arms in a performative yawn, letting the dark burgundy fabric stretch around his muscles. Voyance rolled his eyes. “What are you doing here? You have your own city to look after,” Voyance said, stepping to the side to continue surveying the city below him. OR Shane Hollander (and his alter-ego, Voyance) protects the city of Montreal on behalf of The League of Extra-Ordinary Humans of North America. In a round of recruiting for the league, he meets another extra, Thorn, a surprising candidate from Russia. What unfolds is a slow-descent into one another, with a few road bumps along the way.
