Fics like Longing for what I've missed

Dante wasn’t sure how long they all stood there, all three of them remaining completely still, not moving a single inch, as a tense silence washed over the room. Not even Nero, now proudly perched atop Dante’s head, his sharp cat nails digging into Dante’s scalp, seemed inclined to move. Acting as if he was an innocent bystander in this whole fiasco. Pesky little brat. Locked in place, Dante watched Vergil and his Doppelganger stare at Nero, their gazes boring holes into the young feline. Who, Dante might add, did not appear to be bothered by this in the slightest. After a few minutes of staring, Vergil and his Doppelganger shifted their gazes away from Nero and back to Dante. The Doppelganger’s face remained neutral, while Vergil’s face sported a very evident frown. “What,” Vergil spat, anger dripping from his voice. “did you do?” When Nero gets turned into a cat while out on a job with Dante, it falls to his two relatives to take care of him. Prompt a mixture of hilarious cat hijinks and slight Sparda family angst. Vergil has regrets, Dante is here for the ride, and Cat Nero is a total menace.
