Fics like words just get in the way

'She expected Adora to walk away, go back into the classroom and complain to the teacher that she couldn’t understand Catra, and Catra couldn’t understand her, so they shouldn’t have to do this. But Adora did the opposite. She sat down right next to Catra and smiled. “Do you want me to teach you some English words?” Adora asked, and Catra just looked at her blankly again. Adora didn’t get angry, or look at her like she was stupid, and Catra decided that she might try and learn a few words if it meant she could talk to this nice girl. “¿Me puedes enseñar ingles?” Catra asked, and it almost felt like Adora understood her when she reached out and touched her wrist gently.' Or, Catra doesn't speak a word of English, Adora doesn't speak a word of Spanish, and they fall for each other anyway.
