Fics like Scourge In The Guise of Sanctity

A TFC AU in which Columbina births a child, only for that baby to be stolen by the old cruel Ringmaster to be raised as a follower of God. That child is you, and you know nothing of your birth and of the lies fed to you by the one you call "Father." You know only to depend on him wholly and completely for your daily routine, your faith in God, everything. But when that dependency is threatened, you find yourself wondering about the truth of who and what you are. And after an awful accident, you end up unwillingly learning more about your true nature, spiraling into a crisis of faith, love, attachment, and the nature in which they're inextricably bound to one another. Meanwhile, Columbina and the other monsters believe that you are dead. However, there's still a flicker of hope. That hope is the only thing that keeps them alive as they rot and waste away in their cages, waiting and hoping and wishing. They pray for a miracle, a sign, anything. If only they knew just how close by you really were...
