Fics like team spirit

"Come on, Hollander," Lily says, tapping two fingers on the table. "Show me that you would be a better captain than me." This gets Jane's attention, just like Lily had hoped it would. She was nothing if not competitive, and if anyone could make being on the same team a competition, it was the two of them. "How would this prove anything?" Jane asks, not moving. "Leadership, determination, teamwork. Sportsmanship. All that shit is part of this game, no?" Lily says. And honestly, it's half bullshit. She just wants to get her out from under Jessica's arm. Lily shrugs. "Unless you are too boring to play." -Or, after a scheme to piss off Jane's ex-girlfriend, Lily and Jane begin hooking up during their sophomore year of college — despite their battle for who will become head cheerleader next year. Hopefully nothing like feelings or meddling friends will get in the way!
