Fics like run, run, sweet roadrunner

As the Roadrunner searched, he grew more and more despondent. *His friend had left him.* He paced in circles around the boulder, desperately hoping his friend would pop out and pounce at him, begin their chase anew, but there was only an endless nothing in both directions. The road that just this morning had seemed so full of possibilities now seemed to stretch out mockingly before him, taunting him. He was utterly and completely alone. His friend had gotten bored of the chase, and he was going to be alone forever, under the endless sky and running through the gorgeous planes with nobody to explore them with, desperately lonely and- Wait a minute. What was *that?* -- OR: Coyote goes missing, and Roadrunner has to enlist some unlikely help to find him. (Set pre-movie, not canon compliant)
