Fics like short straw

The Kremnoan people believe in Mydei. They have no reason to doubt his protection, his words, his promises. If he say they will not starve, then it shall be so. It’s this ironclad faith that keeps the Kremnoan youth calm, and his other seniors quiet; they trust Mydei’s direction. All Phainon can slowly gather is that Mydei will never eat when his people might go hungry. A mission has them marooned on a stretch of beach. Mydei refuses to eat, so Phainon won't, either.
