Tony’s blood went cold. Spider-Man was delirious, delirious enough to see his father where Tony stood. “Dad,” he cried again, voice trembling and childlike, yet more urgent and sure. “Sorry to disappoint,” he responded half heartedly, opening the door to the med wing, “But it's just Tony Stark. You don’t like me very much.” Spider-Man watched him with those creepy eyes. “No,” the hero murmured, “I love you. Y’re like my dad. Jus’ hur’s being near you. Cause-” he drew in a rattling, painful breath. “-You don’ remember.” Or The aftermath of Peter waking up in a world where Tony Stark never died, yet he was still forgotten.
