Fics like drunk in love

When he'd been younger, before he'd been outed, he'd actually been terrified of the idea of getting drunk because getting drunk meant potentially slipping up and potentially slipping up meant he'd say something stupid. Something he wasn't supposed to say. Something like Anytime I kiss a girl something in me revolts and I think I might actually be gay or I hate being the golden boy of hockey or I miss Ilya Rozanov like it hurts; like the air in my lungs is missing, like someone carved my heart out and left it back in Ottawa. Something true. Obviously, that wasn't a problem anymore, which is why Shane lets himself be convinced by his husband and his new team to let loose for once and try drinking. Not getting drunk, Ilya promised, but at least drinking. or Shane gets properly drunk for the first time. He'll regret it in the morning.
