Fics like Nothing Looks the Same in a Different Corner

What if Vecna, the Upside Down, the Mind Flayer, the Demogorgon NEVER EXISTED? Would the lives of the characters be different? Would they have become close? That's the case for this fanfic. They all live normally, and life follows its course. Steve ends up working for his dad at the Estate office and Eddie still works at the Hideout pub, playing every friday with the band. Steve meets Eddie again in 1988, three years after graduating. Somehow, they get on TRULY well and discover each other’s life as adults, bound by their music interests. Eddie had always been into Steve and, Steve falls way harder for Eddie, both struggling with their sexuality, their identities and the issues it would involve for both in a small town. Inspired slightly in "The Flight of Icarus" to make precisions in Eddie's and Corroded Coffin's lore. Major inspiration from the songs "Nothing Looks the Same in the Light" by Wham! and "A Different Corner" by George Michael.
