Fics like Bad Ending: Once We Got Up There, the Puppeteer Became the Puppet

What if Vox had won? What if he made it… up there? Despite his stratagems, things haven’t gone to plan for Alastor. Oblivious as he may have been to the word play hidden in his deal with Alastor, Vox never did touch Charlie, never did lay his hands upon her. And so, Alastor’s chains were never broken. Free as he may be from Rosie’s leash, he’s bound to Vox as Heaven is swallowed up by Hell’s fury, and the new King of Hell and Heaven, keeping the former king as a precious jewel by his side, revels in his success. A dark age has fallen, one where light dims and threatens to extinguish, and the dark fury that radiates in Vox’s heart turns upon the one who pushed him aside before. “Bet you’re wishing you’d fucking taken me up on that offer to be partners all those years back, huh, Al?” At the sound of Vox’s voice, loud, clear, confident and faintly echoing in the great hall of his throne room, Alastor felt an unpleasant jolt run up his spine and his ears lowered instinctively. As for Lucifer, his eyes grew hazy once more, whatever ghost of himself that had crept closer scampering back like a prey animal scenting a predator.
