Fics like Wars Are Not Made By Intelligent People, But By Stupid People

“In wars,” he said eventually, “no matter who starts them, both sides are to blame. There’s no good or bad. People die on both sides. That’s the only thing that matters in the end. Wars are justified in different ways. Past history. Territory. Their people. Religion. Security. It’s all just a lie. They came up with the idea that someone wins and someone loses when a war ends. It’s all just a lie. Both sides lose if there are people dead on both sides. But they made up the idea that someone is winning. Intentionally. To force people to want to fight in the future. To make it sound like a good thing. Like sacrifice is noble if the right flag is flying over it. The only reason for wars is because people like to feel like gods. They think they can do whatever they want with other people’s lives.”
