Fics like The Fifth Element

"Let's see..." The dim light of the lamp was just enough to illuminate the words on the page, each letter scrambled and scribbled into organized, illegible paragraphs, yet it was no issue for the old troll. She began to read. "When Troll Kind is at its lowest, the Divine will lend a paw. A single bloodline will be chosen, proven to be worthy, and four trolls will be born, each harboring unique elemental magic to use to aid those around them. Alone, they are limited, but together, they will never fall. Their powers will awaken their warden, one to guide them. Long live the chosen." … "I was never really a fan of riddles," She closed the white book, her fingers tracing the golden swirls and the large eye in the center, "but I admit. I'm curious. The book doesn't mention a fifth so I wonder what power you've been gifted... Branch." The egg tilted slightly, the tuft of hair on top swaying. A small crack cut through the shell.
