The ground was wet with the evidence of a fresh spring shower as Yunho stepped out of the small church into the crisp air of the small town that he could barely remember the name of. The funeral had been short, catholic upon his mother’s insistence, and only attended by the modest assortment of family members that had been able to make the trip from Seoul. Somewhere deep in the inside pocket of his suit jacket, an envelope burned a hole through the fabric, searing against Yunho’s ribs, a constant reminder of how little he knew about the dearly departed. Yunho meets Hongjoong when he is given a letter by his grandmother on her deathbed. The letter is addressed to a woman he's never heard of in a town he didn't know existed. Upon delivery, Yunho and Hongjoong uncover a series of letters between their late grandmothers that allude to a life that neither knew they lived. While deciphering the coded language passed between lovers decades before, Yunho and Hongjoong learn not only about their grandmothers but about themselves too.
