Fics like flesh for fantasy

Adam had experience with ticking time bombs: he always knew when to escape so they wouldn't blow up in his face. But there was one thing he hadn't predicted, and it was this: Adam turned back to the mirror, and watched as Ronan stepped behind him, and two large hands grabbed each of his hips and moved him out of their way. Later the moment seemed like it was caught on one of those old VHS tapes that used to be scattered around the double-wide: Adam paused, rewound, played, on repeat. He stared at those hands, the way the large fingers looked spread over his hips, engulfing them. Ronan let one go to grab his own toothbrush—Adam made sure to keep one for him permanently, in both preparation and manifestation—and the other hand lingered until it too slipped away. But in Adam's mind he could construct exactly how they looked and felt on him. He only realized it later: boom—the bomb was going off in his face. Or: Ronan wears too many tank tops. Adam is completely normal about this and does not experience any internal discoveries.
