Fics like running over the same old ground

He supposes he brought this on himself. All that talk in Boston about I never see you with girls. Good fucking job. Now it's all Ilya sees every time he opens his phone. He has to give Hollander credit. A movie star, of all the women on the planet. He never does anything halfway. Rose Landry is all red-gold hair and plump lips and big doll eyes and petite curves, if you like that sort of thing. Ilya tries not to imagine how delicate she would look underneath the bulk of Hollander's body and fails. Again. The postcard tucked into his coat pocket feels foolish. There's very little point in sending an Ottawa postcard to someone who was born here. There's no point at all in giving it to someone who wants nothing from him. But whatever his father says (or used to, before his brain turned to mush) about him being lazy, Ilya does not do anything halfway either. Doing a pointless, stupid thing had not stopped him sending palm trees from Florida or mountains from Colorado or a cathedral from Minnesota. _______ After Boston, Ilya sends postcards from every city he's in.
