Fics like Found In The Dust, Taken In By The Ashes

Vols Collikesc of the Iron Hands stays behind, expecting to die so their brothers can live. They were not expecting to be found by a mysterious Chaos Warband in the aftermath, who are not acting like Vols expects. They call themselves the Rising Ashes and claim to be against chaos, despite being full of traitor legionaires, mutants, and cultists. Taken against their will, Vols is at the warband's mercy, and despite claims of only wanting to heal them Vols waits for the other shoe to drop. But the longer they spend with the group the more questions they have. Why has nothing been done to them yet? How come the warband has so many odd rules and restrictions? Who is it that they're chasing? Why are there so many Emperors Children here? And who is their mysterious masked leader? There are answers, but can Vols handle them? (Part of my Rising Ashes au, I highly reccomend reading the linked explanation post to fully understand the au. Or you could go in as blind as Vols ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧)
