Fics like Anyone Else

"I just realized that I think I want something more serious and like committed? When you said that I was just, that- y'know, that you only wanted me for sex and that you could like have anyone else." Shane fidgeted with the cuffs of his sweater, pulling at a loose thread as he adamantly refused to look at Ilya, "But I just don't think I am okay with just being a casual hookup anymore. I want a real relationship, and you don't. Which is fine, but I figured, You can't be what I need and I can't be what you need, so maybe we just stop being anything?" Stop being anything. It was so simple. Ilya didn't even have to do anything. He just had to stop. He just had to nod. He just had to agree. It was impossible. Or: Ilya made the stupid mistake of telling Shane that they were purely casual, just sex. Surely nothing bad would happen right? Wrong. This is the story of Ilya winning Shane back.
