Fics like We're Going To Be Okay

Mack does not see it; he just hears it. Which is likely for the best because the sound was awful– he can’t imagine the look. When he does finally look, Will is crumpled on the ice. His back is to the boards, and his face is facing out, completely lifeless. The whole arena disappears around him as he skates to Will. He’s the first one there. “Will!” He calls out. Then again when he gets no response. “Cmon Will, wake up,” he pleads. He only looks away from his man to make sure the medical staff are on the way, and thankfully they are sliding down the ice. ——- In 2034, Will suffers a major injury that changes their lives forever.
