Fics like The Parker Curse (and chili)

“You know,” Frank swished some whiskey around in his glass, “If my son had survived, he’d be around your ag–-” “Cough- hurk-” Spider-man choked, a bean being flung out of his mouth as he coughed with a disgusting mass of saliva- spider saliva? “Dude, don’t say that!” “Say what?” “Anything vaguely parental,” Spider-man stared at him uncharacteristically seriously, “I’ve been orphaned five times you can’t say that stuff man— they’ll get you.” Frank slowly chewed his chilli, “National defence?” Is he going to have to up his defence? “Worse,” Spider-man looked genuinely distressed as he leaned further into Frank’s personal space, “The Parker curse.”
